MAGA/MAHA/TPUSA/Far Right coalition starting to splinter?

And that was the case before and after Tucker interviewed Fuentes. Nothing changed other than Tucker is still desperate to be relevant and is interviewing POS people like Alex Jones and Nick Fuentes.

The belief that Tucker interviewing Fuentes is somehow a turning point for the party, or reflective of some bigger neo-nazi/white supremacist agenda, is just foolish. That's why party leadership is coming out a trashing Tucker, rightfully so.

Even if it IS a turning point, it's not because of sudden support for white supremacy. It's a difference of opinion on whether it's ok for Tucker to interview Fuentes in the manner he did.
someone as big as carlson platforming fuentes and then the freaking heritage foundation coming to carlson's defense when people criticized it is in fact a turning point, no pun intended.

major, influential figures and groups starting to say the quiet parts out loud is an escalation and furtherance of the moral decay of the GOP.

it is strange and hilarious that you feel compelled to insist to everyone that this clear something is nothing.

Heritage Foundation in revolt over Tucker Carlson defense after controversial Nick Fuentes interview: ‘Footsie with literal Nazis’

.....Internal chats reviewed by The Post show high-ranking members of the Heritage Foundation told each other privately how “embarrassed” and “disgusted” they were by Kevin Roberts’ “ridiculous” decision to come to Carlson’s defense over the sitdown with Fuentes, 27, who has expressed antisemitic views and denied that the Holocaust happened.

.......“I’m disgusted by this and don’t understand how this premeditated and orchestrated response could come out of one of the biggest think tanks in the world,” one wrote.

........Another declared the incident was “the most embarrassed I’ve ever been to be a Heritage employee. It’s not close.”

But others, including Senator Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas, have argued that Republicans must rid their movement of such viewpoints.… Mr. Cruz’s personal and ideological grievances with Mr. Carlson are not new. He was a guest on Mr. Carlson’s show in June, when Mr. Carlson tried to embarrass him by putting him on the spot about his knowledge of Iran. …”

He didn't try to embarass him. He embarrassed him.

History records many cases in which cities fell to siege because, even with the enemy at the very gates, factions within the city could not put aside their mutual struggle for domination. In such cases, the consequences are typically catastrophic for all the defeated. The attitude of “let the city burn, so long as I can rule over the ashes” is idiotic; it is the enemy outside that will rule.

Never forget that Trump had dinner with Fuentes. Let's not pretend Carlson is the only one who has attempted to legitimize Fuentes.
another guy Trump knows nothing about:

“… In a separate statement, Trump denied knowing who Fuentes was, stating that the “dinner meeting was intended to be Kanye and me only, but he arrived with a guest whom I had never met and knew nothing about.” Both that statement and the Truth Social post did not include a denunciation of West’s or Fuentes’ recent comments.…”

"The Heritage Foundation" didn't do anything. The President and one other high-up member made a statement. Many HF members are not happy and some are leaving.

“I’m disgusted by this and don’t understand how this premeditated and orchestrated response could come out of one of the biggest think tanks in the world,” one wrote.

… The ripple effect from Roberts’ statement has gone beyond staff issues, with sources close to the think tank saying that it has been “hemorrhaging” evangelical Christian and Jewish contributors.

“This is ridiculous, on the one hand, KDR [Roberts] says that we can’t ‘cancel our own people,’ referring to Tucker and Fuentes, when, on the other hand, he literally cancelled the Boston College Republicans by calling them a bunch of ‘soft men‘ to whom the future doesn’t belong,” one Heritage staffer said in the private chat group.

… A second asked whether members of the think tank were “part of the venomous coalition for calling out Tucker for playing footsie with literal Nazis?”

“Saying we can’t cancel someone is safe space wokeism,” offered a third.

“If we are labeled on the same side as Nick Fuentes, then we deserve to lose,” chimed in a fourth Heritage colleague, who later added: “Talking with some of the interns I think that there are a growing number of them who actually agree” with the views Fuentes espoused.

Heritage reps have pushed back on reports that an emergency Board of Trustees meeting occurred Saturday in the wake of the Roberts’ statements, but some of its members took to X to issue lengthy statements sounding the alarm about antisemitism gaining ground in the conservative movement.

“American conservatism today faces a challenge. That challenge comes from those who reject our commitment to inherent and equal human dignity. They are seeking acceptance in the conservative movement and its institutions, and they do so with the ultimate objective of transforming them by undermining that commitment,” Princeton University professor Robert P. George posted.

Exactly. Apparently Trump just has private dinners with and issues pardons for people he knows nothing about.

It really tells you something when the defense to having dinner with Fuentes is that it was intended to be with Kanye West.

Do you have a source for that who isn't a congenital liar?
It's a combination of circumstances and what both parties said:

“Kanye West very much wanted to visit Mar-a-Lago. Our dinner meeting was intended to be Kanye and me only, but he arrived with a guest whom I had never met and knew nothing about,” Trump said in his first statement released by his campaign.

Not long after, Trump took to his social media network to say that Ye and “three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about” had “unexpectedly showed up” at his club.

“We had dinner on Tuesday evening with many members present on the back patio. The dinner was quick and uneventful. They then left for the airport,” he wrote.

Hours later he again posted, saying he had told Ye that he “should definitely not run for President,” and that “any voters you may have should vote for TRUMP.”

“Anyway, we got along great, he expressed no anti-Semitism, & I appreciated all of the nice things he said about me on ‘Tucker Carlson.’” he added. “Why wouldn’t I agree to meet? Also, I didn’t know Nick Fuentes.”

Fuentes, meanwhile, said after the trip that, while he couldn’t rule out that Trump had heard of him, “I don’t think he knew that I was me at the dinner.”

“I didn’t mean for my statements and my whole background to sort of become a public relations problem for the president,” he added on his show.

No would have saved some people some time.

lolz.

the president, mr. "the revolution will be bloodless if the left allows it to be," making a statement is definitely not "didn't do anything."
