It's extremely difficult for me to learn from anyone else .
Me too. Same with my autistic kids and son-in-law. It's one thing that started making me wonder if I have been autistic my whole life without knowing. I don't think it's necessary or sufficient to imply autism, but I think it's rare enough to be significant.

Hearing in MN:

Oof, Menendez not exactly distinguishing herself here. Anti-commandeering law isn't "rarely used"; it's foundational. And the way to decide is given by the Supreme Court. It's not so clear as to self-evidently apply, but the applicable rule of decision isn't hard to determine.

I do wonder how much the judges in a circuit like the 8th feel compelled to put on a Potemkin show of agonizing over easy questions. She's had one order stayed, reflexively, and it's likely the 8th will stay others. So maybe she gives lip service to the bullshit to give better optics to the appeals court judges.

Gun-Rights Groups Clash With Trump Officials Over Fatal Shooting of Armed Protester

Some in administration criticize Alex Pretti for carrying gun to protest activity, but Second Amendment groups have long fought for right to do so

“… “The first thing that politicians want to do is blame the gun,” said Taylor Rhodes, spokesman for the National Association for Gun Rights, based in Greenville, S.C.

Rhodes said he has attended hundreds of protests and rallies over the years, always with a gun. He said a thorough investigation is needed, but judging from videos of the shooting, “I don’t think it looks good on the ICE agents.”

For Second Amendment activists, the conversation around Pretti’s shooting intersects with an argument they have long made: Gun owners have a constitutional right to carry their firearms in public.…”

People who’ve long agitated for unrestricted gun rights to protect themselves against government tyranny seem confused about seeing actual government tyranny.

Honestly glad to see a consistent view on gun rights from the 2A crowd, even if I don't agree with him. Better than the folks trying to justify the shooting or the firearm limitation organizations not using this as an opportunity to advocate for more sensible gun restrictions. Good for him I guess.
