Well you said we wouldn't be able to get the covid vaccine and that we wouldn't be able to get flu vaccine. The flu vaccine is available right now so I think you've got problems with your sources. The fall Covid shot being developed by MODERNA targeted at the current strains was cancelled by DOGE. If it comes out at all, it will not be with Gov help, as in the past, or paid for. Any Covid shot available today is to past strains.
Also, the panel of experts who advise every year on the current strain of Flu to target for new vaccines was fired by RFKJr. So, as I said…..,
Moderna currently has two types of Covid vaccines that are approved by the FDA. The one you are thinking about is the newer one which was tabled for a vote by a key committee on if it would be recommended based on safety concerns. They expect to deploy the older moderna vaccine with the new strains for this season along with competing vaccines from Pfizer and GSK.
The same committee also skipped a vote on Covid-19 recommendations because RFK stated they wouldn't recommend the shots for healthy people. This is not the same as not recommending new strains of the covid vaccine which happened in May. There will be new strains for 2025-2026 based on recommendations from a different FDA committee.
Here is an article on fda recommendations for what covid strains to cover.
Here is the report you are misunderstanding about what the different panel actually did.
