March Madness - And then there were Two

He was not rated a 5 star as a transfer
So, a player who was a 5-star coming out of high school and stays at his first school counts as a 5-star despite subpar performance.

But, a high school 5-star who transfers and isn’t ranked as a 5-star in the transfer portal no longer counts as a 5-star?

Players get re-rated. Zach Rice wasn’t considered a 5 star signing for Syracuse when he transferred from UNC.

Of course players get re-rated.

Zach Rice obviously wasn’t all that much. Ditto for that Tidewater CB who wouldn’t hit a ghost. Ditto for Cadeau.

But, idiots like to say, “Look at the failed 5-stars at XYZ.”

So, Cadeau counts as a non-existent 5-star for Michigan and a failed 5-star for UNC?

Cadeau was rated a 5 star coming out of high school and was rated a 4 star as a transfer.
For the purpose of discussion should we credit Michigan with having a 5 star coming out of high school 3years ago on their roster ? Conversely, what if a player is rated a 4 star coming out of high school and then is re-rated a 5 star as a transfer. Does the school only get credit for having a 4 star transfer on its roster ?

What on earth did thy say-I mean Shawn andGeno That was pretty weird
On Sportscenter this AM, Geno complained of having to wait at mid court for 3 minutes to shake hands with Dawn pregame.
SC showed a film clip of both of them shaking hands and Dawn continued down the line shaking hands with all of the UConn staff. Lord knows what was eating at him but to complain about a greeting that happened doesn't make sense.

I posted this elsewhere but all of this negative publicity couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. He's always been an asshole and egotistical jerk. A great coach, but not nearly so admirable as a person, imo.

Apparently you need to be an asshole to coach basketball at UConn. I’m not just talking about Geno and Hurley…Calhoun was a difficult personality as well and he was there forever.

The Final Four isn’t a big enough deal for broadcast TV? CBS shuttles the games over to TBS while CBS broadcast network is showing “This is UFC” and a couple episodes of 48 Hours during prime time tonight? Really?

You still watch?

When Duke is out I'm done. Move on and ignore it. I'll check scores but nah no interest
Absolutely I watch !
It's college basketball at It's best and I love college sports. I can understand those that don't want to watch after theirs are booted out of the Tourney. The best part is watching the games without the announcers slobbering over that Durham team and focusing on the sport itself.
