If you take yourself out of the mix, then you don't want the job.

You can want to be in the mix but not want the job. But you can't actually want the job if you don't want to be in the mix.

Right. But he was nowhere near the top of our list and odds are that he never would have been offered. And you can’t turn down what you don’t have.

According to IC, he was 1 of 4 folks in Tier 1, that’s not just near but at the top of the list.

He turned down an opportunity to be a part of our search, which he certainly had.
