March Madness - Final Four is set

They are awfully quiet today, that's for sure.

Wonder if Scheyer Lovers are wondering today if Rat's Chosen One might actually not be the top man in the rodent tree?

Quin Snyder
Tommy Amaker
Johnny Dawkins
Chris Collins
Jeff Capel
Wojo

Are there others? Does Jai Lucas count?

Maybe Mike Brey counts. Though now retired.

If Scheyer doesn't work out they would probably go after Reddick.

No, Scheyer is not all that... maybe at recruiting (but we know he has his advantages and privileges there too)
But with all of his NBA talent year after year, all he has to do is roll the ball out there and say "go get em boys".

No, he has yet to do anything to prove he's a great - or even just a very good - coach. With just a modicum of a system, any decent High school coach could take all of that NBA-level, one-and-done, Micky D AA, first round draft choice talent and roll the ball out there and get to the sweet 16. I guarantee it.

Laettner hit that shot in 1992 against Kentucky and we had to watch the replay of that over and over every March, during NCAAT coverage, for years and years... Until

Jenkins hit the shot in 2016 that killed us. Then that shot was replayed every March over and over.

Now, we have a new shot to be replayed every March over and over - hopefully for the rest of my life.

(NOTE: I realize Jordan's shot in 1982 was replayed a lot - but not like Laettner's. And Derek's "pass" to Charles in 1983... And Luke's shot in 2017 was big and gets replayed in UNC circles - but not Nationally like Laettner's)

We have to watch Webber’s timeout as well, which, while being a good memory for us, misleads as to the circumstances surrounding that moment (we were up and he had a trap coming for him along the sideline that involved two of the best defenders in UNC basketball history).

They were calling for the technical! B...
They were calling for a technical ha!
Look at Scheyer - he was WAAYY out of the coaches' box the entire time. Now THAT could have been a tech. Not saying it should have been, but it could have been called.

Just a beautiful sequence of three errors in the final seconds. Cayden should of just dribbled into open space or held the ball. No 1o seconds in play, Both open dook players make no effort to come back to Cayden when he is trapped so they are not in a position to make a play on the loose ball. And Evans not picking up the open guy nearest him with seconds left. Experienced guards win ships.
