Marijuana use leads to much higher cardiovascular risk

That stinks.

"Using marijuana doubles the risk of dying from heart disease, according to a new analysis of pooled medical data involving 200 million people mostly between the ages of 19 and 59.

“What was particularly striking was that the concerned patients hospitalized for these disorders were young (and thus, not likely to have their clinical features due to tobacco smoking) and with no history of cardiovascular disorder or cardiovascular risk factors..."

This study didn't address the consumption method but smoking was probably by far the most prevelent. But according to a different study, edibles users were showing signs of early heart disease.

They also discussed potency as a possible reason for the increased risks. I'd like to see more studies to determine if adjusting potency or different consumption methods could reduce risk.

Man Waffle House might as well be French Laundry. Last time I went there all lit up after a concert I literally started thinking it had to be my last meal because it tasted so good. I ate a very large meal, then pondered getting the exact same thing again. But I was with a lot of people and I was trying to be polite. They later told me they wanted another meal too.
