And yet...in a bigger picture of this small world, the interview responses from Jahn's purported "friends" would be right up the alley of overall deception and an irony-based sense of anarchy.

This Edgelord shit actually reminds me of certain "types" that I have known, probably because of many years tending bar, that found such "outside the box" ways of seeing to be clever and produced a smugness more often than not highlighted by a shit-eating grin when they thought no one was watching and a nigh constant demeanor multi-stalking women and living a life of non-sequitur prattling on. Those sorts tended to show themselves fairly quickly though sometimes managed to conceal their overall anti-social character for a while by prowling around the perimeter of nightlife. Certain establishments were more prone than others to tolerate such types as well. I booted and made enemies of quite a few during my time tending bar, some that even attempted to cause at least some mayhem in my life before being dealt with. Community ostracism was always the most effective action.

But those were different times...pre-internet for the most part. This would appear to be an "evolution" through time of similar personalities...perhaps even an escalation given the changes to the overall social environment of the world.

If you don't play video games, you have never seen true anti-social behavior. It's more brutal than a Pinochet prison. People are fucked up sometimes.

I know this post is going to get a bunch of thumbs up from people who play games. It's universal. A lot of games have disabled or removed their chat functionality unless it's needed for game play, because it was abused so often. And that's only the tip of the iceberg.

I think the real evolution has come as folks like this have come together in places like 4Chan and created a community where such weird/creepy/smug/whatever folks not only found others like them, but that community became based around such characteristics and encouraged further development of such traits.

Then when those folks try to fit in anywhere except those niche communities, they are even less prepared/able to do so than in previous generations. And that leads to further alienation that then produces violent events.

Houston youth baseball coach shot during pregame prayer with players; 3 suspects in custody

27-year-old coach hospitalized after being struck in shoulder at field in Katy, Texas

Three suspects have been charged after a Houston youth baseball coach was wounded in a shooting during a pregame prayer with players on Sunday.

Mahmood Abdelsalam Rababah, 23, Ahmad Mawed, 21, and Mustafa Mohammad Matalgah, 27, were arrested on felony charges of deadly conduct with a firearm, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office said. They were each being held on $100,000 bond.

The chaos unfolded at Ameripark youth baseball field, known as The Rac, in the town of Katy, after three people fired weapons from a nearby pasture in the direction of the field as a youth baseball event was ongoing, the sheriff’s office said.
