He's only making plans for Nigel.Easy. This one falls under “mentally ill Americans should be involuntarily locked up in asylums and/or euthanized.”
Bingo. But remember Kirk was one of Jesus disciples.Sounds like the Southport shooter shouldn't have been able to get a gun with his mental health history. But of course he used an assault rifle. We just have to remember what's important is one right-wing YouTuber was killed a couple of weeks ago.
The shooter probably said hi one time to a trans illegal immigrant antifa member at the grocery store or something. How is Kash Patel gonna spin this one?
Safe Haven?Just watched a some Netflix romance movie last weekend that took place in Southport, based on Nicholas Sparks book. Got one thinking how it'd be a nice place to visit. I'm sure many of ZZLers have been. What an effed up world we've become, with Trump, tariffs, ICE, et al. the cherry on top.
Terrible movie.Safe Haven?
Oddly enough, despite being born and raised in Eastern NC and living in NC for at least half my life, the closest I've ever come to Southport, is taking the ferry to/from Fort Fisher. I have never actually stopped in Southport to look around. That is an omission I really should rectify before I move on to whatever is next. Growing up, beach trips were day trips. Atlantic Beach was a LONG one-day day trip. (Especially if we stopped in New Bern to get a PEPSI-COLA, which we usually whined long enough to make that happen.) Topsail Island was an easy one-day trip, that was like a little over an hour away. During the winter, if the Blues started running, there was time to get a phone call, drive to the Jolly Roger Pier on Topsail, and cast for some Blues. And Wrightsville Beach was a pretty solid depart early morning and get back just as it was getting dark trip.Just watched . . . a Netflix romance movie last weekend that took place in Southport, . . .. I'm sure many of ZZLers have been. . . ..
Given that you have apparently spent a significant portion of your life in Lumberton, NC, I will accept your characterization of this being a "sad place" as an expert opinion. What a sad place this is. Only thing that matters is the bad guy is in the other team. Pathetic.
That has been repeated often here and at ZZLP when posters trying to take a shot at me and I have never answered as I will now. We are a county with 7O percent POC, lots of poverty, the effects of Jim Crow etc. Obviously crime is an issue because it's attached poverty. So, yea, sad place but it seems to garner scorn not sympathy. I've worked in many ways to make this place better.Given that you have apparently spent a significant portion of your life in Lumberton, NC, I will accept your characterization of this being a "sad place" as an expert opinion.

Every one of those small cities I bet voted for Trump. No mention from the WH and no consideration for National Guard deploymentGiven that you have apparently spent a significant portion of your life in Lumberton, NC, I will accept your characterization of this being a "sad place" as an expert opinion.

OK, fair enough. But just being a contrarian for the sake of being contrary is how you come across in the post that I responded to. There are lots of places in Eastern NC that have similar demographics to Lumberton. While my home town is not now and never was some beacon of civility and there were places where one did not walk after dark, it did not then and does not now have the level of crime that Lumberton does. And this is despite the large influx of Hatians that came to work in the hog/turkey/chicken plants in the aftermath of the 2010 Earthquake. Local churches hired Haitian Creole speaking ministers and held weekly church sessions to make the Haitians feel welcome. There are productive ways to face challenges and there is throwing up one's hands and blaming "the Other."That has been repeated often here and at ZZLP when posters trying to take a shot at me and I have never answered as I will now. We have Stephen Miller threatening Newsome with terrorism charges for calling him a fascist. (The irony of that probably doesn’t escape Miller.)What a sad place this is. Only thing that matters is the bad guy is in the other team. Pathetic.
What else is there to do?What a sad place this is. Only thing that matters is the bad guy is in the other team. Pathetic.
