Never have denied that we have a young white male problem with mass shootings

Why won’t you admit we also have a jihadist and trans problem with these killings?
 
Alarm at Carrboro High School .

Friends on social media writing about getting “I love you” texts from their kids.


I never got one of those but I did get one from a teacher locked down in her classroom with my daughter.


It is a terrible, terrible feeling.


Even worse for the kids inside. Even false alarms rip at them - at you.

I got this text 2x in roughly 2 weeks from my oldest in Fall 2023 for both UNC shootings.

Fortunately, my kid wasn’t truly in danger either time, but they didn’t initially know that.

It’s a terrible experience as a parent and I can’t imagine being the student.
 
Apparently this happened during the lunch hour so there were students eating outside. They could hear the shots ring out, in apparently nearby apartments, but understandably no one knew where and what was going on so people were screaming to run and that’s what everyone did.

Awful situation.
