Trump at MSG [this may be a transcript of the written speech on the teleprompter, not as actually delivered]

  • Kamala has imported criminal migrants from prisons and jails, insane asylums and mental institutions from all around the world, from Venezuela to the Congo. A lot of people are coming from the Congo prisons. They’re coming from all over the world. Over the last month, 181 countries violated our laws. And she has resettled them into your communities to prey upon innocent American citizens.
  • One of the deadliest and most vicious migrant gangs that Kamala has imported into our country is the savage Venezuelan prison gang. Nice group of people. They got together in prison. The worst prison in the world, they say. It’s called Tren de Aragua. And that is taking over apartment complexes and unleashing a violent killing spree all over America, especially in Aurora, Colorado, where we have a governor who’s petrified of them. And maybe he should be. But now they’ve even taken over Times Square.
  • The United States is now an occupied country, but it will soon be an occupied country no longer. Not going to be happening. Not going to be happening. November 5th, 2024, nine days from now will be Liberation Day in America.It’s going to be Liberation Day.

    On day one, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to get these criminals out. I will rescue every city and town that has been invaded and conquered, and we will put these vicious and bloodthirsty criminals in jail. We’re going to kick them the hell out of our country as fast as possible.
  • And to expedite removals of Trinidad and Tobago and other savage gangs like MS-13, which is equally vicious, I will invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. Think of that. That’s how far back.   • Colorado is going to vote for us. You know why? Typically they go a little bit the other way. Of course, with their voting system, I’m not so sure about that. But you know why? Because they tried to throw the leading candidate of both parties, meaning me, I was leading both parties off the ballot. And the people of Colorado, including Democrats, are very angry about it. They are a threat to democracy, to use their term.
  • But she would get us into World War Three because she’s incompetent, can’t do the job, unfit for it. And then all of your sons and daughters will end up getting a little notice. They’ll say, Mom, Dad, what is this little green piece of paper? Oh, yeah. Darling, that’s a draft notice. They’re drafting you to go and fight in some country that I’ve never heard this. I’ve never heard of this country before.
  • We had stupid generals like Milley and Mattis, weak, stupid people. But fear not. We have great generals. It’s not the ones that you see on television all the time.
  • Our enemies are laughing at her. They want her to win so badly. They don’t want Trump. They don’t want Trump. I’ve made this position a very dangerous one because of that. That’s why it’s a very dangerous. You know, if you drive a race car, you have one tenth of one percent chance of dying. If you ride the bulls, I think the bulls are pretty nasty, right? You have about the same one tenth of one percent of dying. If you become president of the United States, you got a hell of a shot at dying.

  • And as California Attorney General, she redefined child sex trafficking, assault with a deadly weapon, and rape of an unconscious person as a totally nonviolent crime. She pledged to confiscate your guns.
  • One thing I have been, even the enemy, because they are the enemy, what they’ve said, even that enemy, too, when they’re really the enemy, they’re the enemy of the people, the press.
  • I’ve been against all of the things that are happening and have happened. We stopped it, and now it’s happening again.
  • And on top of all this, Kamala tried to turn our military woke into an army.
  • I want to thank Mayor Adams for going through a hard time with these people. These are lunatics, by the way. They’ve weaponized the Justice Department against their political opponent.
  • We built all of our military, built 571 miles of wall too. I took it out of the military because I couldn’t get it from the people in Congress that should have given it to us. So I considered it an invasion. I said to a couple of generals, I said, congratulations, this is an invasion of our country. So I took it out of the military, gave it to the Americans and won them all.
    • We will build a massive defense shield all made in the USA. We’re going to build a beautiful dome over our country. And a lot of it’s going to be made right here in New York.

Word about the grassroots campaign has spread on social media, primarily on Facebook, with women putting "Woman to woman" notes in places where other women will see them.

Obviously we are a very male dominated board, so perhaps not. But there are women out there afraid of their husbands or fathers. Read the article. It's an eye opener.

Unfortunately, I don't think the effort is very widespread. That said, it's probably most important in rural and conservative areas.

In the annual public surveys about trust and reputation, journalists and the media have regularly fallen near the very bottom, often just above Congress. But in this year’s Gallup poll, we have managed to fall below Congress. Our profession is now the least trusted of all. Something we are doing is clearly not working.

Let me give an analogy. Voting machines must meet two requirements. They must count the vote accurately, and people must believe they count the vote accurately. The second requirement is distinct from and just as important as the first.
Likewise with newspapers. We must be accurate, and we must be believed to be accurate. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but we are failing on the second requirement. Most people believe the media is biased. Anyone who doesn’t see this is paying scant attention to reality, and those who fight reality lose. Reality is an undefeated champion. It would be easy to blame others for our long and continuing fall in credibility (and, therefore, decline in impact), but a victim mentality will not help. Complaining is not a strategy. We must work harder to control what we can control to increase our credibility.
Presidential endorsements do nothing to tip the scales of an election. No undecided voters in Pennsylvania are going to say, “I’m going with Newspaper A’s endorsement.” None. What presidential endorsements actually do is create a perception of bias. A perception of non-independence. Ending them is a principled decision, and it’s the right one. Eugene Meyer, publisher of The Washington Post from 1933 to 1946, thought the same, and he was right. By itself, declining to endorse presidential candidates is not enough to move us very far up the trust scale, but it’s a meaningful step in the right direction. I wish we had made the change earlier than we did, in a moment further from the election and the emotions around it. That was inadequate planning, and not some intentional strategy.
 
WaPo’s success isn’t something that matters financially for Bezos. However his comment about “Trust the media?” poll results is stupid.

Probably a good number of WP’s 2.5 million subscribers would answer no when asked if they trust “the media,” but they trust WP or else they wouldn’t be subscribers.
 
Yes Jeff, the hatred and distrust of the media of late just happened organically, in a vacuum.

If they had announced this decision before the primaries were started, I would have believed them.

But to announce it after the campaign had not only started but with only a few days left before the election and with the info that the decision shocked many with the paper shows that it was not a principled decision arising from an intentional process. Instead it was a rushed decision made buy the owner because he either disagreed with the Editorial Board's decision or because he feared the potential repercussions from a Harris endorsement.
 


Wow. Can’t believe this dude said that (well, I can but still). To Philips credit, apparently she tossed him off her show at the break.

 
I'm hoping that if they all show up starting some shit on January 6th they should be rounded up and deported to Russia! Then they can get back to the 18-1950's where they were trying to take the country.

Fuck this guy. If the problem with newspapers and the lack of public trust is the lack of "objectivity", then the logical conclusion is to ban editorials in their entirety. No opinions whatsoever - don't want people to think you are biased.

He is a coward who is afraid of Trump.

The Post used to be my favorite newspaper.
 
I subscribed to the Digital WaPo right after orangeturd was elected-for obvious reasons Today I canceled . Right before I finalized the cancelation they offered a half price option

I cancelled last night as well. I was torn about it because the paper does good reporting for the most part and is one of the last places to do so but Bezos' bond villain actions forced my hand. It's alarming to see Musk and Bezos use the wealth the systems of the US and it's government allowed them to accumulate to tear down said US and it's government
