Yep. The reviews section for Melania on Rotten Tomatoes is something - I don't think I've ever seen a movie with only a 6% fresh rating from critics and a whopping 98% fresh rating from "average people" (MAGAs or AI) who claimed to have seen the movie. Most of the 98% fresh reviews read like they were written by AI or diehard MAGAs. And I agree this documentary will be just like Sound of Freedom - lots of initial claims that the movie is a "surprise" hit (because of deliberate ticket buying that still plays to mostly empty theaters) followed by the movie quickly dropping off even MAGA's radar and will soon be forgotten as an embarrassment, even by them.Yep, like "Sound of Freedom", I suspect there are plenty of empty auditoriums out there that are "sold out".
Yeah, my guess is that some of Amazon's 35M was earmarked for this very purpose. The right wing money laundering and propaganda networks are just buying tickets just like they do for every book release.
You're the poster who owns a movie theater, am I right? So you know whereof you speak?I predict its first weekend will land between $5-10 million. That's pretty good for a documentary. However, its day-to-day and week-to-week numbers, as well as its repeat viewings, will likely be horrendous. "Melania" won't be a "Fahrenheit 9/11" (or any other Michael Moore documentary, for that matter) at the box office. Unlike "Sound of Freedom", I don't think MAGA fans will be able to shine this turd for the general public consumption. If this movie makes it to $15-20 million total, I'll be shocked. Again, for a doc, that's pretty good. But by industry standards, $20 million for a $75 million investment will place "Melania" on plenty of worst movie lists at the end of the year.
