Many of you know of the struggles my middle daughter has delt with over the last 14 years.

She seemed to be doing well but recently she hasn't been doing as well and the treatments seem to be less effective.

I am currently in the ICU waiting for the doctor to finish a test so I can go back and see her.

I'm very worried and really don't know what to do.

Oh my goodness gracious, @UNCatTech, I am so, so sorry. Please let us know if there is anything at all that you need or if any of us can do anything for you. I will definitely be keeping you and your family in my prayers for comfort and healing, but in the immediate if there is anything that I can do for y'all please let me know.

Sending good vibes your way. Can’t imagine what you must be going through to see your child go through this. Will have you and her and your whole family in my thoughts.

I’m not a praying man, but I will have your family in my thoughts. You are an amazing father and your daughter has a great support system around her. I am wishing the best for you, my friend.

I'm worried now, they checked her pupils then took her for a CT. They said her pupils were less responsive.

I'm here alone now, everyone went to her house for a moment.

That's not a great sign but I don't think it's a bad one necessarily. Pupil non-responsiveness can happen with medication ODs, but remember: they don't know exactly what happened. They might be checking to see if there's a brain injury (which can also cause non-responsive pupils). I think they would tell you if there was a serious risk. My wife will be home soon; I'll ask her if she has any thoughts.

I don’t know what to say except I wish you and you our daughter the best.
I do pray and will pray for you both.

The nurse told us that the CT and the EEG show no abnormalities. AND she somewhat responded to her wife's questions. While i still feel horrible, we're feeling a little better.
All right, that's great. She will be OK. If she's responsive, that means the CT and EEG were just-in-case procedures.

I know you're feeling horrible, but I'm hoping you can feel more than a little bit better. Is there anything I can do to help you get to, say, 50 out of 100 on a happiness scale?

It was just a slight response, but it was more than earlier. The test not showing any concerns is the best news.

We're exhausted. Goodnight everyone.
