Minnesota assasination thread

The obsessive TDS overwhelms any actual political discussion other than “trump sucks” and it gets a little boring and stale. I guess it’s true that misery loves company because you guys just wallow in your trump hatred and keep repeating the same things.

I think it's actually supposed to be Call-A-TO-Roy. Among the many, many things he doesn't understand is the value of using timeouts for stopping momentum.
I've always wondered how Roy used his timeouts during the NCAA tournament - did he use them more, less, the same compared with the regular season? Perhaps that stat exists somewhere?

No idea. I do know that the use of timeouts to stop runs by the opposing team has been studied over and over and over. There is no benefit. Most of the time, momentum itself is an illusion, a statistical artefact.

I know of one study using NBA games that alludes to them not stopping runs, but I've not seen studies from the collegiate level (or any other leagues). Have they also studied this for college teams/players?

I had deleted the Twitter app, for obvious reasons, months ago. But, I reinstalled it recently just because of the college basketball portal and the fact that so much breaking news/player posts would take me to X in my web browser and then I couldn’t interact with the post without jumping through a bunch of hoops.

Anyway, I’ve been exposed to Twitter again in viewing news about this topic and holy hell, that app is god awful. I’m sure most of the people arguing are bots/AI but that app is very clearly good for no one’s mental health.

If I hit 3 three pointers in a row, all net, I think my odds of hitting the 4th is better than my usual average. Just like in NBA Jam. I don’t think it is comparable to red coming up on the roulette wheel three times in a row because muscle memory is a real thing, as is confidence.
