Yep . . . . see ya !So long, Phaillies
I'm pulling for Padres/Guardians. One team that's never won the WS and one that hasn't won the WS in almost 80 yearsWelp. I can't complain about the Royals season coming to an end last night after they went 56-106 last year and gave the Yankees a run for their money. Would have really liked to seen how different the season might have turned out without Vinny getting hurt but thems are the breaks (no pun intended).
Anyway, I'm praying to the Baseball Gods that a Subway World Series doesn't happen. I can't even imagine how much we would have to hear about it from the talking heads.... Even the run up to a possible Subway World Series is going to be torture enough (Costas even mentioned it last night).

Not watching, but Gamecast says Skubal has thrown 35 strikes on 43 pitches. Taking pitches against that type of command doesn't seem likely to succeed. As far as stepping out of the box, is that allowed under the new rules? I thought they tried to crack down on that particularly terrible Tony Bennett like strategyI don't get it at all. Why are we not taking any freaking pitches? Why are we not stepping out of the box to disrupt his rhythm every single at bat? All we're doing is letting him pitch later into the game!
Batter can take 1 timeout per AB. Most guys wait until they have 2 strikes on them to do thatNot watching, but Gamecast says Skubal has thrown 35 strikes on 43 pitches.
