I finally managed to get through all 10-ish minutes of her announcement.

She sounds like a jilted lover trying and failing to take a pretend moral high road.

Given all of the terrible things she has said, done, and supported, I can't feel any pity for her. Honestly, good riddance.
She's the latest member of the Trumper FAFO club. I will say that her turnabout has been one of the most surprising things of Trump 2.0. I never saw her, of all people, turning on Trump and then abruptly quitting Congress and her political career, even if only temporarily. Still don't like her or trust her, and I'd say that she has more than earned her downfall, but it's one of few things that has happened in his second term that I find genuinely surprising. And I have no doubt that she'll be replaced by some MAGA who is even more of a loon that she is/was.

lol... she's grandstanding. If she had true conviction she'd resign today but nope, her fed pension vests on Jan 3rd but because that day lands on a Saturday - which is also the day after the first federal paycheck of the year - but more importantly she's gotta wait until the first business day (Jan 5th) after her pension vests for her resignation to not affect her pension.

She currently has a net worth of around $25 million…which increased from a net worth of $700k from the time she took office in 2021.

I doubt she gives a damn about vesting for her federal pension.

I’m honestly flummoxed as to why she chose to duck out as of January. IMO, she’s persona non grata in the R party, she has no love for/from the D party, and Indy’s rightly abhor her.

So it’s weird to me that the folks think she’s gunning for the governorship in GA or some other similarly-positioned politico.

iMO, she’s gonna go the media route and make millions as a “political analyst” on Fox or another right-wing site. She can continue to pick nits with MAGA culture while still perpetuating the hate-filled anti-lib agenda.

Agree, but she’ll stick around and take the pension. It’s the shrewd thing to do. Just one last way to stick it to ‘em. “Ha! Now ya’ll gotta send me a check every month til the day I die! Take that M-fers!”

With Trump falling in love with the newly elected NYC mayor while throwing Elise Stefanik under the bus and MTG pissing on Trump as she goes out the door, I have to believe MAGA nation is caught in a ball of confusion.

She was promised something by Trump, who then reneged on the promise. As someone mentioned, her reaction seems like that of jilted love. For now, it's aligned with the left so let's see how far the fracture deepens.

I don’t care how much money one has, it would be completely foolish not to wait a few weeks until her federal pension is vested. Just think about how much that saves on a primo lifetime healthcare plan, apart from the pension money.

The MAGA zealots online are assuming she will become a token “conservative” shill on CNN.

or she might be the next Liz Cheney and attack dog... and can do it better from a national stage.

I'm not saying this lady is smart but she's playing the Trump game and if we're paying attention she's planned this to make a stand... and I think the timing now(epsein) his ideal for her.

Oh and she'll make a whole lot more money...

""I believe in term limits and do not think Congress should be a lifelong career or an assisted living facility," Greene wrote."

Probably the more intelligent thing she's ever said.

It does fit Dear Leader's pattern though, as he is a proven misogynist who doesn't believe that women are good for much other than sex and as underlings who can do his bidding as long as they're physically attractive (Noem, Bondi, Leavitt) and make him look good. He'll never support a MAGA female politician for POTUS and won't hesitate to sell out any of his female supporters like Haley or Stefanik or Greene the moment they say something critical of him or get in the way of his plans. It's who he is. He simply doesn't like women who are intelligent, ambitious, outspoken, and independent, even if they're MAGA.
