He’s won what? It’s Michigan. They’ve paid for players for DECADES.
Hes taken them from dead last in the BIG in 2024 to conference champs in 2025 in his first season. He also has them in the Sweet 16. And in case you haven't noticed, paying for players is kind of the main thrust of the game now. Being better at finding players to pay would be a huge part of evaluating a head coach.

Dusty May is a hell of a college basketball coach.

Buzz Williams agrees.

I don't know. He seems to have a pretty good point. You've got months to ask about next year. Why immediately after the game?
Exactly, ask about the game, what went wrong, how the season wrapped up, etc. There's much more to discuss than where everyone will be in 6 months.

Hell, trump might have banned basketball by then. All it would take is someone to tell him he sucks at it.

I don't get why St John's was ranked so high when they didn't play a team in the regular season that was a top 25 team.

Because Cronin's required to be there and won't be required to talk to the media for 6 more months after this PC. If you don't ask him now, many probably won't get the chance for a long time.

I mean, I guess. But what's he going to say? When has a coach in that position ever said anything noteworthy about next year?

Getting close to fleshing out the sweet 16. It’s hard to watch a game, impossible to watch an entire game, but I’m keeping tabs.
Of the teams left, who ya got? I guess d00k would be a bit of a popular pick right now. Anybody got somebody who will beat ‘em? Who ya got?

All 1 seeds are through, I think Houston or Florida each have a great chance at it. I also like 2 seeds Tenn. and Alabama and another possible 2 seed Mich St all have a chance. 3 seed Kentucky looks pretty good. Dark Horse? Arkansas.

dookie be hard to beat, but I think any of those teams have a shot.

I like Houston

When do most coaches say anything noteworthy at all?

If coaches have to say something noteworthy to validate the practice of holding a press conference, then we’d probably just end PCs as a matter of course.

Great to see the ACC still represented!
Can't remember the last time the ACC only had one team in the Round of 32. Had to be back in the 70s, I'd think.

In any event, our future conference mates at the SEC are 14-7, so we are claiming that now.

Dook looks unbeatable
I don't think so, their opposition hasn't exactly been all that impressive so far. They are definitely a favorite to win the title, but there are several teams left that can beat them. I've seen numerous other dook teams that looked very impressive heading into the tourney and ended up losing. Remember how Michigan State took out Zion Williamson's supposedly invincible squad in the Elite Eight? I still have hope they'll lose at some point.
