I swear I can't tell much difference. And I drive down into the belly of the beast pretty often. It seems like FDR is worse but maybe Henry Hudson is slightly better?

What do you consider "the belly of the beast"? Canal street was always one of the worst traffic zones. The photos I've seen recently were almost unrecognizable due to lack of traffic.

Chelsea, Village, anywhere near Union Square -- those were the horrible traffic zones (not counting Midtown, which I suspect hasn't changed much).
