When Pittsburgh hired him, Tomlin was a 34 year old who had never been a head coach and had only one year of experience as a coordinator. Cowher was also hired by the Steelers at age 34.Did anyone really think the Steelers would go for a forward-thinking, bold choice?
It's almost like he is a temporary "holder"When Pittsburgh hired him, Tomlin was a 34 year old who had never been a head coach and had only one year of experience as a coordinator. Cowher was also hired by the Steelers at age 34.
I’m shocked they decided to call 62 year old Mike McCarthy off the couch.
I have no idea how the refs were expected to be able to figure out what happened on that play. Can you have clear, indisputable evidence to overturn even if you can’t see the ball?
Nope - call stands
I have never seen a call reversed on a QB sneak/tush push. It was a complete waste of a challenge by Sean Payton, and he may have wanted that TO at the end of the game.I have no idea how the refs were expected to be able to figure out what happened on that play.
Visibility is low due to the weather so it's hard for the refs to see what happened in real time. The players are all piled up and so it's hard to tell where the ball was when Maye hit the ground. And you couldn't seen the ball anywhere on the video for review.
At that point, the refs are just making their best guess like the rest of us and we all have to live with it.
Rough day for PaytonI have never seen a call reversed on a QB sneak/tush push. It was a complete waste of a challenge by Sean Payton, and he may have wanted that TO at the end of the game.
