Are students being killed on campuses?
Not yet. Give it time I fear. Jewish students are clearly being harassed and intimidated on campuses and many are prevented from entering "No Zionist" parts of campus. That's why it goes beyond free speech (which I support).

I'd prefer to leave Washington to maga this Saturday.
agree 100%

Let the peaceful protests across the nation stand in stark contrast to the vulgar homage to a fascist wanna-be dictator. That contrast would make for good tv

The last thing we need is a band of protesters provoking the parade participants and throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails That would delight Trump and make for very bad tv.

Agree... protesting the military on parade is a bad look on any occasion.

Agree. The only protests at the parade should be non-attendance. Show up to these events and show solidarity in peaceful congregation.

Present tense? That sounds like a Spring ‘24 story. Can you cite any current examples?

I work on a campus as does my wife. I've not heard of this. I'll have to ask her (she works at Columbia) about it. Can you link an account. I very much need verification on that.

May 8, 2025: According to the BBC: Two university security officers were injured when protesters forced their way into the Butler Library chanting with many wearing keffiyeh headscarves and masks. More than 70 protestors were arrested. Videos at the NY institution showed protesters vandalising bookshelves by writing "free Palestine." Claire Shipman, Columbia president said "it is completely unacceptable that some individuals are choosing to disrupt academic activities as our students are studying and preparing for final exams."

You don't think that was intimidating to Jewish students in particular?

Cute. Professional protestors unite! I’ll make sure to avoid Buford Hwy this weekend to avoid the all black, knapsack and helmet wearing “protestors” this weekend. Our Governor Kemp won’t put up with violence.
What the fuck do you have against black protesters?

Oh, right.

For once the rouser ain't wrong.
A one-off pro-Palestine protest at Butler library is not what Ramrouser was talking about in his earlier post. Of course there are going to be single protests here and there -- especially at Columbia and especially when it is cracking down in response to Trump pressure. But here is what Ramrouser wrote:

Jewish students are clearly being harassed and intimidated on campuses and many are prevented from entering "No Zionist" parts of campus

He is referring to a time last Spring when campus administrators were using the Seattle CHAZ strategy of letting the occupiers tire themselves out, When protestors had taken over quads and were sleeping in tents and had guards checking for non-Jewish identity before letting people pass.

That era ended over a year ago.

Absolutely nothing. Black refers to the color of the knapsacks and clothing the Antifa protesters wear. Upon further review, I shouldn't have put the comma between black and knapsack.

Fair. I don't always read his posts very carefully, because usually there are like three mistakes that just leap off the page.

Not going to accept the tired Nazi label when leftist, cosplay Hamas leftist students are harassing and killing Jews in 2025.
Is that happening?? I think the protests on campuses last year were misguided and subject to outside influences, but...

Besides, it's summer school/summertime. Only graduate students, professors, and a few UGs are on campuses.

Looking like weather may cooperate. 60% change for thunderstorms.

Plus dozens more in smaller towns. The Winston one is tagging along with the already scheduled "Queens Day" LGBQTIQ+ event (too many damn letters). Don't think a good idea to mix the two, but it's one NC city, no biggie.
