Yea, the one I saw looked more like a church group standing out at the road attracting attention for a car wash. Went by a couple hrs later and they were gone. Just not the same without the paid guys and the helmet wearing, rock throwing group.

My observation of the local Elon Musk protests from the last few months is that the average protester age is north of 60. I’d assume that same demo would be coming out today.

The protest I attended had people of all ages- kids in strollers, elderly with canes and everyone in between. Probably close to 2000 for 2-3 hrs.

Yeah, I suspect that this is geographic dependent. Some protests will be more diverse than others. And there were some youngs at the protests I saw, but the olds predominated.
 
Downtown ATL crowd looked to be 90% 60+ whites. Very few black protestors - in downtown! Strange.
 
Asheville was a pretty diverse group. The board righties were secretly hoping for violence, and are more than a little disappointed. But, if “looked like a church group” is the best they can spin today’s rallies, then they can be considered pretty damned successful.
 
I was invited to attend a rally and bring my guitar and sing some Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan tunes (I did this at the last one) but I already had a jazz brunch gig booked so I couldn’t make todays rally.
But I’m kinda glad I missed it… as I was scared I’d get my head stoved in and my throat stepped on by hobnail boots. And after hearing the news of what happened in MN, well… I do reside in a red county in NC. Just sayin’…
 
I’ve seen estimates for the Charlotte protest ranging from 3000 (Charlotte Observer) to 10,000 (WSOC quoting the police estimate.) Rally with speeches at First Ward Park then marched about 1.5 miles through Uptown. Appeared peaceful and well-organized. All permits were in place. Gold Line street car service was interrupted as the crowd marched up Trade St, but CATS had sent out notifications to expect some transit disruptions, so that was no surprise. Other than the persistent helicopter presence I didn’t notice anything unusual. No more sirens than I would hear on a normal midday during the march.

I'm on vacation in Atlantic Beach, so the wife and I went to the protest in Beaufort. It was a peaceful couple of hundred people in a pretty steady downpour. I saw a good number of vets. One was 99 with a sign that said, "99 & still fighting tyranny!" Another vet had a sign that said, "I fought fascisim in 1944! At 102, I'm doing it again." It was inspiring to be near those guys. I would show pix, but I suppose that doesn't feel right to post pix of other people. Either way, it was uplifting.

I just returned from rioting. I didn't injure any police officers with the American flag I was waving, I didn't smear feces on any walls, and I didn't destroy any federal property. Maybe I need to watch more videos of J6 "patriots" to learn how to riot.

It was peaceful, energetic, passionate, encouraging and patriotic. Elderly people in wheelchairs and using walkers. Babies in strollers. I interacted with veterans from 3 different branches of our military.

The payment from Soros is already in my account.

Perfect. An appropriate commemoration of the day the US Army was formed and the US Flag, which was all about No Kings.
