I’m not sure I agree. People will talk a big game. But, based on my experiences, most are just beaten down and tired. We areheaded for a conflict.

And what would it accomplish?I’m not sure I agree. People will talk a big game. But, based on my experiences, most are just beaten down and tired.

Fwiw, historically, armed conflict is notably less successful at curbing autocracy than sustained popular protest, including corporate pressure campaigns.
I’ll not sure that “people are just beaten down and tired” is necessarily much better of a scenario though.I hope you’re right. I’ve never wanted to be more wrong about anything in my life.
But even then, nonviolent resistance is much more likely to lead to not only success, but also as much a return to as much normalcy as is possible. Because what I am beginning to realize is that people’s memories as a species are short lived. This - whatever it is that is at the heart of why people crave authoritarian power - is never going to be eradicated. It will rear its ugly head in escalation until too many lines are crossed. That’s life. But peaceful resistance is still the greater option. It’s how e truly prove to the world, and to history, that our way is the way of hope. Even if that lesson will get lost again, before it must be relearned again. The push won’t come from our side. It’s coming from the side in power. It wasn’t enough to win the election…
How do you feel about the fella that is buying guns and ammo and a tactical shovel for street fighting or the guy who thinks "we areAll jokes aside, I’m legitimately concerned about his mental wellbeing.

Because they have been wired to fear anything they don't understand. It all comes down to racism, bigotry and greed. Those are the only reasons anyone would support Trump. If they aren't rich and greedy they're racist and bigoted Christian nationalists. They are full of hate because they can't understand anything that is outside of the bubble they want to live in.Protests are great. Brings attention to things.
But, when the time comes, if you ain't willing to take up arms, you may as well just stay home.
Don't anyone misunderstand me. I'm not calling for that. I'm not stupid or crazy. And we aren't even there...yet.
But people ought to understand things. We've had it very good in this country. We live such a comfortable life. I don't understand why so many people so angry. Just because of a transgender gal in your restroom. Or an illegal migrant here or there.
People don't understand how bad things could be. Because they're very dumb.
Let's hope things hold. But, I suspect, assuming this asshole survives long enough, he will attempt another term. And he will do whatever he thinks in his stupid little fucking head to do so. And many people will believe in it. Because they're dumbasses, who have no actual values and are spoiled rotten. Bored and spoiled out of their minds.
I don't recall the last time you said something crazy or hypocritical. What was it?This is a bigger reach than the last time you made similar implications about me.

Why? He’s just run-of-the-mill MAGA. There are millions of them out there. Small-minded, vindictive, immune to truth. The problem is societal, not confined to a single ZZLP poster. All jokes aside, I’m legitimately concerned about his mental wellbeing.
We have a far different definition of kicking ass.Goodness knows…Trump is kicking ass.
