Yeah, in true MAGA fashion, the GOPers running the state house and state senate haven't been able to get along and work with each other for years. Phil Berger doesn't like to share power with anyone, and most of the GOP House Speakers have resented Berger and his power and influence. Of course they do vote lockstep on some things, like cutting corporate taxes to the bone and deregulating everything, but in some areas - like coming up with a budget for the state - they've been bickering for years. One thing they have done together, as earlier posts pointed out, is to consistently strip more and more power from the executive branch and transfer it to the legislative branch. Just a real shitshow, and has been for years.
