Leaving aside how stupid it is to blame Soros for funding the protests, why would it matter? I get the national security concerns if the leaders of one of our political parties were receiving funding and donations from, say, the Saudis or the Qataris, but Soros is an American. What would be the legal or security issue even if it did turn out he was organizing and funding the protests?

He did something that wasn't in support of Trump & the Republicans...which is the new definition of treason.

It is simply to convince MAGAs that opposition to Trump policy is not genuine.

By saying that it is all funded by Soros (psst … a Jew), MAGAs can rest comfortably in their information bubble that all is right with the world and no one has a real problem with Trump’s policies.

“… Said Trump: “Everybody agrees you’re allowed to use that and there is no more court cases, there is no more anything. We’re trying to do it in a nicer manner, but we can always use the Insurrection Act.”

That’s simply not true. The Insurrection Act allows the president to use the military to enforce existing federal laws.

It doesn’t suspend them. It doesn’t shutter the courts. It doesn’t override the Constitution.…”

While MAGA’s spin was both insane and revealing, the No Kings Day 2 Marches were a major step towards taking our country back.

I think outside Portland is more like northern Idaho than anywhere else. And yeah Oregon is the only state that explicitly built white supremacy into its constitution but I don’t think it was ever enforced. It was a hell of a messaging campaign to non whites nevertheless.
It really depends where in Oregon you are talking about. Eastern Oregon is very much like Northern Idaho. Western Oregon, even outside Portland/Eugene is very different. In some ways it's more like Utah. You have a lot of weird religious communities... places where the Mormon church buys a big block of land and builds mini enclaves. But Oregon also has one of the highest overall rates of religiously unaffiliated.

“… What the No Kings Day 2 demonstrations showed me is that we continue to be a great nation, despite how Trump and his minions try to separate, divide, gaslight and intimidate us. Saturday’s marches were a giant step towards taking our country back.“

This is the way to do it. Having millions show up to non-violently protest does have an impact at the ballot box. The internet tough guys who talk about punching a Nazi or assassinating political figures or shooting ICE agents are the problem.

2nd arrest of someone associated with the No Kings protest...

A "No Kings" demonstrator has been arrested after cops say he's the guy who tripped a man who yelled out a gay slur at protesters in a video now going viral.

Here's the deal ... video is going around online capturing a moment from the protest that took place in Denver Saturday -- where you hear a man cheering for the president while flipping off "No Kings" protesters.

The guy arrested is the one who trips the injured man when he falls the second time.

Like what is the charge? you pay for events? Protesting is legal. So even if they were paid,....so what?

I guess they hope to delegitimize it. Good luck, folks. We also thought the Tea Party protests were lame and stupid

Tripping that guy was wrong. Someone took his glasses right off his face early in the video. I’m good with both the Grayson Allen imitator and the glasses thief being arrested.

I would be embarrassed to go on tv and pretend to be someone this stupid.
If George Soros paid each of the 7 million protesters $500 to turnout for the protest it would have cost him over 3 billion dollars. He is so rich that he could spend half of his net worth on the protest.

I doubt he would do that, but if he did I would think the logistics of distributing $500 to each of the 7 million protesters would be quite a challenge;)

Wouldn't he just send it to the same account he uses to buy their votes?
