The “pandemic reaction era” (roughly 2020–2022) produced a very specific YouTube phenomenon: creators who built large audiences by watching classic music, film, or cultural artifacts for the first time on camera, often with highly emotional or “authentic discovery” reactions.

I admit to resisting but finally falling victim to some of these channels...

I probably was most entertained by the music ones like "Jamal AKA Jamel" or "Lost in Vegas." "Charismatic Voice" is an interesting divergence.

There were some film ones but I can't remember their names.

The stuff that Jim Gaffigan did on Sunday Morning about lockdown with his family was fun.

Charismatic Voice is a great channel. Check out her videos where she reacts to Tool. She loves Maynard.

The Who kinda blew her mind (they were mind-blowing). Her lack of knowledge of historical context is refreshing but also terrifying.
