Great job, Trumper whores, you’re going to get us into a whole ass World War III. Way to go.
They'll probably think that's funny until the radiation fallout starts hitting their small towns and exurbs. "Look at all of those lib cities getting nuked! Suck it libs! Wait, you mean the fallout is going to hit us too? Damn those woke liberals!"

Of all the stuff the Trump Admin has done so far, pressuring Romania to release Andrew Tate (who then traveled to Florida) remains the most inexplicable waste of political capital.

What political capital did it waste?

How many people can name Andrew Tate or his brother?

Getting Romania to release the two cost the Trump Regime little-to-nothing and the Joe Brogans/techbroligarchs love having them in the US.

Who the heck are the Tate bros and what is their claim to fame other than being podcast tough guys?

While trivial in the big scheme of things, I wonder if organizational disasters at the World Cup and the 2028 Olympics will be what it takes to show low information Americans what an incompetent administration looks like.

The 2026 World Cup is still more than a year away, but top travel executives are warning the US could struggle to effectively stage the tournament unless big changes are made quickly.

US Travel Association president and CEO Geoff Freeman and MGM Resorts International president and CEO William Hornbuckle told CNN Sport that they have real concerns about whether the US travel system is prepared to handle the influx of foreign travelers expected in next summer’s soccer extravaganza.

The worries run the gamut. Lengthy wait times for fan visa approvals could discourage thousands from trying to come to the US for the tournament. Outdated technology and staffing shortages could lead to long waits for visitors who arrive in the US to clear customs. Long lines to get through security could potentially snake all the way outside of airports. A lack of an interagency task force inside the Trump White House means a less-than-streamlined federal response to the various problems.

2026 and the World Cup? MAGAts and other low information Americans won’t care because it’s soccer…..er, futbol.

They certainly won’t blame visa delays, visa refusals, slow lines in immigration to get into the country, and back-ups in TSA security lines on Trump.

2028 and the Olympics? That’s so far off.

But will be happening at pretty important times.

Trump 'planning to revoke legal status of 240,000 Ukrainian refugees' - key Ukraine developments

The planned rollback of protections for Ukrainians was reportedly under way before Donald Trump publicly feuded with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy last week.

“… According to the Reuters news agency, a senior Trump official and three sources familiar with the matter said the move is expected as soon as April – potentially putting almost a quarter of a million Ukrainians in the US on a fast-track to deportation.

The planned rollback of protections for Ukrainians was under way before Trump publicly feuded with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky last week….”

Just pure evil to deport war refugees to an active war zone.

D.C. U.S. attorney tells Georgetown he won’t hire from any school with ‘DEI’

Trump appointee Ed Martin made the claim in a letter to the Georgetown University law school dean. Martin has called the school a “locus” of anti-Trump activity.

“Interim D.C. U.S. Attorney Ed Martin demanded that the dean of Georgetown Law School end all diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at the school, asserting in a letter that his office will not consider hiring anyone affiliated with a university that utilizes DEI.

The warning was delivered in a letter dated Feb. 17 to William M. Treanor, a constitutional law scholar and one of the longest-serving deans of the largest law school in the nation’s capital. The first letter was misaddressed, but it was re-sent Monday.

“At this time, you should know that no applicant for our fellows program, our summer internship, or employment in our office who is a student or affiliated with a law school or university that continues to teach and utilize DEI will be considered,” Martin wrote in the two-page letter.

Martin added two questions: “First, have you eliminated all DEI from your school and its curriculum? Second, if DEI is found in your courses or teaching in any way, will you move swiftly to remove it?”

… Martin’s letter came after the Trump administration’s Department of Education told U.S. schools and universities on Feb. 18 to eliminate diversity initiatives and “racial preferences” in admissions, financial aid, hiring or other areas within two weeks or risk losing federal money.

A subsequent document last week softened that stance, stating that by law the federal government cannot dictate curriculum. The department said its enforcement policies would not infringe on teachers’ First Amendment rights to free speech and noted that federal law bars the department from “exercising control over the content of school curricula.” …”

Top Trump allies hold secret talks with Zelenskyy’s Ukrainian opponents

As Washington ramps up its pressure on Zelenskyy to step aside, his rivals are talking to Trump’s team.

“…The senior Trump allies held talks with Ukrainian opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, a remorselessly ambitious former prime minister, and senior members of the party of Petro Poroshenko, Zelenskyy’s immediate predecessor as president, according to three Ukrainian parliamentarians and a U.S. Republican foreign policy expert.

The discussions centered on whether Ukraine could hold quick presidential elections. These are being delayed in line with the country’s constitution because Ukraine remains under martial law. Critics of holding elections say they could be chaotic and play into Russia’s hands, with so many potential voters serving on the front lines or living abroad as refugees.

…But while the Trump camp may hope an election will sink Zelenskyy, he is still massively more popular than Tymoshenko and Poroshenko.

In a poll conducted by British pollster Survation this week after the blow-up at the White House, 44 percent said they would back Zelenskyy for the presidency.

His nearest rival, trailing him by more than 20 percentage points, is Valery Zaluzhny, a former army commander who is now Ukraine’s ambassador to Britain. Only 10 percent backed Poroshenko, who is known as the Chocolate King due to his confectionary empire. Tymoshenko garnered just 5.7 percent support. …”

That’s messed up.

How Talks to Avert Tariffs on Mexico and Canada Fell Apart

Officials from both countries shuttled to Washington to plead their case to Trump’s aides and advisers

“With only hours to go until President Trump’s pledged tariffs were set to hit America’s neighbors, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tried Monday to arrange a call with his U.S. counterpart to negotiate. Trump didn’t take the call, a Canadian government official said.

It wasn’t the first time Trump had diplomatically ghosted the leaders of Canada or Mexico during weeks of talks to avert a North American trade war. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said that she also requested a call with Trump, but didn’t get one.

… But first thing Tuesday, Trump forged ahead, placing 25% tariffs on most goods from Mexico and Canada and making clear the fatal flaw in the negotiating process: Only Trump speaks for Trump, and the president wanted to move forward.

… The two leaders eventually spoke Wednesday morning, an exchange Trump said ended in a “somewhat” friendly manner. A person familiar with the matter said the call grew heated and included profanity.

… While Trump continues to be legitimately concerned about fentanyl deaths, said people with knowledge of the discussions, his team also felt they needed to impose the duties to hammer home to trading partners that he is serious about his tariff threats. Some administration officials also see the duties as a way to reset the trading relationship with the continental neighbors before renegotiating the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, the people added.

… Mexico’s Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard and Lutnick met last week, talks Mexican officials deemed as fruitless because the U.S. didn’t appear to know what it wanted, said one person close to the discussions.

One concession floated by Mexican officials involved China, a common trade rival. Mexico offered to match the U.S. on China tariffs, but the proposal was dismissed by Trump administration officials, said another person familiar with the discussions. …”
