This reminds me of Dixiecrat Chub Sewell who would sometimes sub for Jesse Helms on WRAL to deliver an editorial rant.

His intro would be, " Will Rogers used to say the only thing he knew is what he read in the newspapers, but all I read in the newspapers are a bunch of communist lies !"

And yet, if you could go back in time and tell Chub Sewell that the all-time favorite GOP President would be a Russian puppet and the Kompromat the Russians had on this Presidential puppet was so devastating that the leader of Russia, a former KGB agent, could literally make this puppet say anything regardless of how idiotic it was, he wouldn't believe you. And on top of that, people like Chub Sewell would immediately adopt/endorse these absudities as if they were the Word of God.

It's definitely offensive, egotistical, narcissistic, and pretty much symbolizes most of his loathsome qualities, but he's also just trolling the libs as always. He knows he triggers them and makes them angry, and that his supporters love it when he does that. To a great extent Trumpism is a political movement that doesn't actually care about the realities of the world we live in, it's a kind of mass cult reality show where "owning" your opponents online is one of the few things that actually matter to them, and gets them out of bed in the morning. His cult loves shit like this, because they know it angers the people they hate.

It's a shiny object to distract the attention of the MAGA base away from what they will be facing when they are kicked off Medicaid, their Social Security disability check is scrapped, a lien is placed on their double wide for delinquent monthly loan payments, and having to stay up late at night to stop their truck from being repossessed.
