45 ish years ago I had a supervisor -not mine directly-but 1 of 2 in my shop He was a great mentor in my career development Like 12 years later he got laid off and I had the chance to hire him to run a large multi year project.
He just hated time changes-complained for a couple months.. I always think of Larry when the time changes RIP Larry

I vote for Standard Time all year. But if the majority wants DST that's cool. Just pick one and stick with it.

My cars change themselves, as do the alarm clocks (most have a “DST” button that you just turn on or off) in the bedrooms. I have to change 4 appliances manually (oven, microwave, stovetop hood, and coffee maker…..the only one needed is the coffeemaker to preset it so the coffee is made when you get up). I also have a mantel clock that has to be set manually. The whole process took maybe ten minutes this morning.

I remember news stories in which people would complain about daylight savings time and how needlessly dark it was in the mornings in September-October and March-April or April-May.

From age 7 or 8 to 18+, swim practice started at 6:00 am and then 5:30 am, Monday-Friday. By age 11-12, we also had Saturday morning practice.

I saw A LOT of dark mornings. Daylight Savings Time or Eastern Standard Time…….it’s effing DARK at 5:00 am.

At least they let us sleep in in the summer - practice started at 7:00 am……it was light enough to ride my bike to the Tennis Club or UNC’s Kessing Pool.

how many physical clocks, especially ones that you actually rely on with any regularity, do y'all have that you need to change for daylight saving?
Little Ben clock says quarter to eight
You kept me up till four

Just set the clocks halfway between standard time and daylight savings time (30 Min) and don't change the clock throughout the year. 30 minutes.

105°F and humid at 9 pm in Texas gets old in the summer.
