They should also lay the blame for the tens of thousands of American children that unnecessarily die of cancer over the next five decades, due to his gutting of mRNA research.

Kennedy described the research as "a deceitful propaganda stunt by the pharmaceutical industry," and said the scientists who authored it had "meticulously designed it not to find harm" in a detailed Aug. 1 opinion piece on TrialSite News, an independent website focused on clinical research. He called on the journal to "immediately retract" the study.

"I see no reason for retraction," Dr. Christine Laine, editor in chief of the Annals and a professor of medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, said in an interview.

The journal plans to respond to criticism the article has received on its website, Laine said, but it does not intend to respond directly to Kennedy's piece, which was not submitted to the Annals.

The lead author of the study, Anders Peter Hviid, head of the epidemiology research department at the Statens Serum Institut in Denmark, defended the work in a response post to TrialSite. He wrote that none of the critiques put forward by Kennedy were substantive and he categorically denied any deceit as implied by the secretary.

"I am used to controversy around vaccine safety studies - especially those that relate to autism, but I have not been targeted by a political figurehead in this way before," Hviid said in an emailed response to Reuters. "I have confidence in our work and in our ability to reply to the critiques of our study."…”

Even the staunchest defenders of the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program agree it needs reform. It is slow, understaffed and can feel adversarial to families legitimately in need.

Now Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to overhaul the program, saying he will make it more efficient and speedier for Americans seeking payment.

Mr. Kennedy has also claimed, falsely, that the compensation program prevents families from suing vaccine makers in traditional courts. (This is true of the Covid vaccines, however, which are adjudicated in a separate program.)

And Mr. Kennedy has claimed that the vaccine court punishes and intimidates expert witnesses and petitioners’ attorneys.

Below is a link to an editorial about RFK, Jr.'s plan to leave the United States helpless when the next time, and there will be a next time, a novel viral disease strikes. I guess all you Trumpers think eating whale brains or bear cub organs will confer suffcient whatever for you to weather the viral disease storms that have always come and will continue to come.

Trumpers, if you want to return to the Dark Ages of Medieval Europe, then GO! But don't drag me back with you. How many people who post on this board would be dead today, if St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago and RFK, Jr. had been in charge of federally funded medical research for the 20 years prior to Covid? The dead would not be sorted by political beliefs. And what emerged from such a viral assault would not have been the purified Aryan country you yearn for.

Canada read the tea leaves and has separated itself from the RFK tainted pipeline.


Moderna announced today that Health Canada has authorized its updated COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, Spikevax®, targeting the SARS-CoV-2 LP.8.1 variant, for individuals aged six months and older. Moderna is on track to deliver the updated vaccine in time for the 2025-2026 vaccination season.


All Spikevax pre-filled syringe (PFS) doses for the Canadian market will now be manufactured domestically, marking the first time Canada's entire PFS format is produced at home. The drug substance will be produced at Moderna's new facility in Laval, Quebec, with fill-finish operations completed by Novocol Pharma in Cambridge, Ontario. These Canadian-made doses are expected to be available for this fall

I just hate rationalizing anything RFK, Jr does, but given that he, personally, has already discovered the cause of autism and believes the best solution is for personal injury lawyers to sue "Big Pharma" into oblivion, why would he want federal research dollars spent that might provide some sort of defense to "Big Pharma"? Sure, sure, obliterating "Big Pharma" might have consequences, but nothing exercise, steroids, a good tan, and a couple of brain worms can't fix.
 
You can no longer get the Covid vaccine just by walking into a pharmacist.

You have to get a doctor to approve it.

Hundreds of thousands are going to die again because of a Trump administration.

FDA approves updated COVID boosters, but narrows use

In a post on X, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy said the FDA has cleared vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax for use in "high risk" individuals.
