One of the quintessential outlaw country singers has passed. Amazing that he made it to 86.

I saw him do a show at the old Palomino Club in Burlington in 1993 where he struggled to remember lyrics. The show was the same night UNC beat Arkansas in the Sweet Sixteen on the way to the National Championship.

RIP. Not a huge favorite but I always appreciated the shout out to Steve Goodman, who was, for writing "You Never Even Called Me by My Name", one of Steve's most iconic songs.
