RIP Director Rob Reiner and his wife

The sick thing is that even if we had a Joseph Welch, I don't see a statement like this having the same effect in modern society.

Welch responded with the immortal lines that ultimately ended McCarthy's career: "Until this moment, Senator, I think I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness." When McCarthy tried to continue his attack, Welch angrily interrupted, "Let us not assassinate this lad further, senator. You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency?"

Over several decades, Reiner led efforts to pass an early childhood development initiative in California, and he later helped spearhead a drive to overturn the state’s Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state. Ever outspoken in speeches and on social media, he more recently organized to challenge the Trump administration and produced God and Country, which chronicled the emergence of Christian nationalism.

I cannot imagine anyone going to a person's home to kill armed with only a knife. That to me suggests spontaneity and passion.

Surely there were security cameras somewhere.

If it is the son, do we suppress our anger somewhat understanding he suffered mental health issues and addiction?

I remember the first time or one of the first I saw All in the Family. It was episode where Archie learns a buddy is gay. That was crazy stuff to see on a small b/w TV the size of a toaster in early 1970s. I was thinking a good barometer of where my young teenage self was politically was whether I sympathized more with Archie or meatheads positions.
Great story. This is in line with everything I’ve heard or thought about him.

No matter how you go in the end, or what you think you’ve accomplished or haven’t accomplished in life, these are the kinds of things you want people to remember about you. Seeing the good in others and helping where you can.

It’s actually very much the central message in Stand By Me.

There are plenty of people that were born and raised in Hollywood that are fine, and plenty of people that were born and raised in some small town that are screwed up.
Well I see the feelings police is out early. Lmao

I just repeated what someone who has lived it said. If you have lived it and want to disagree with someone who has then thats perfectly fine. America is full of dysfunctional families no doubt. Does Hollywood have a lower or higher amount? I don't know and don't care.
