There are a good number of people who merely quoted Charlie Kirk's own comments on social media right after his murder and conservatives and right-wing media went berserk and went after these people and contacted their employers and got a good number of them fired or at least reprimanded - and all because they were simply quoting Kirk.

And yet the very leader of their party says far worse things about Rob Reiner's murder - in fact it amounted to a deranged rant about a decent man who had committed the crime of criticizing him - and while some of them have criticized Trump for his remarks, many more have either kept silent, claimed they "didn't see his remarks" and so can't comment on them, or are actually defending what he said. Kudos to those who have said something, but the sheer number of MAGAs who keep enabling and overlooking just how loathsome and repulsive he is remains disgusting and deeply disturbing, just like Trump's remarks.
 
Last night right as it was breaking, but not confirmed that Reiner had died, I was having dinner with some MAGA people. One said "Good...he deserved it for running his mouth."

Presumably for anti-Trump comments. At that point no information about what had happened or who did it was out. I suspect that this individual may have believed another Trump supporter had murdered Reiner and they felt it was justified just because Reiner criticized Trump.

My experience is that there are plenty of Trump supporters who feel violence is an acceptable response to a different opinion.

I'd dare to say over 50% of Hollywood has publicly spoken negatively about Trump at some point. By and large they are intelligent and well educated.
 
Have said often ,like that makes a difference, and probably here. If Trump is not somehow reeled in there is a good possibility he will do some horrendous. He is a sick person in a powerful position. With checks and balances gone, he has no boundaries. De facto, we now are an authoritarian nation.
 
I haven't been following the story much, And I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but Trump's truth social post about the deaths is absolutely appalling. Just when you think he can't raise the bar any higher in regard to being a piece of shit as a human being, he still finds a way to raise it.
 
No way would we have ever tolerated or enabled a troubled kid. They would have had two choices either help yourself or get the F out and dont come back.

Such a sad senseless tragedy.

This is such a clueless comment that shows a complete lack of understanding and empathy. It's hard to imagine how any parent would say that. I'm not a parent but I have seen many, many very troubled children and their parents' struggle to help them and get them on the correct path in life.
