He's jealous that Trump is in bed with Satan instead of him?I hope Callatoroy is doing ok, he really seems worse lately.
Indeed. As a kid and teen I used to watch the old NWA with Flair, Dusty Rhodes, The Four Horsemen, etc. for kicks and then the old WWF was pretty good with the "Friday Night Main Event" on NBC and Wrestlemania. And of course it was all fake as hell, but reality shows are just on a whole different level of stupid and fake, imo. Far more than pro wrasslin', reality shows play to the worst instincts in people while still being scripted and fake as any NWA or WWF match. As they are cheaper to produce they've also led many TV networks to abandon more expensive scripted series and programs for reality show crap. And many of these shows feature people who turn out to be crooks or frauds or perverts and other horrible people in real life. Chrisley Knows Best, Honey Boo-Boo, 19 Kids and Counting (the Duggars and the whole "Quiverfull" movement), and so on.Reality TV... hold my beer...
I always liked WCW more in the 80s and most of the 90s. WWF was more cartoonist back then. I only started watching WWF/WWE more in thr late 90s during the Attitude Era.Indeed. Not a very skilled wrestler however.Hulk is probably the greatest wrestler ever. A truly talented actor in the ring who knew how to sell a story to the fans.
He was also a jealous, greedy, union-busting POS; a truly terrible person, even leaving aside his cynical play for MAGA favor. Good riddance.
It is amazing how many of them turned out to be really bad people.Indeed. It’s not terribly surprising that folks who do the work to get famous as the product in an exploitative industry turn out to be crummy, exploitative folks once they have fame & power. (This is true for both professional wrestling & reality tv.)It is amazing how many of them turned out to be really bad people.
Agreed. I haven't watched pro wrestling in nearly 35 years, but of the wrestlers I remember I'd have to place Flair at the top. He was certainly the best talker, self-promoter, and the most entertaining. Nobody could trash talk and brag on themselves quite like he could. ESPN had a great documentary on his life and career a few years ago, and it was very candid in describing his dark side - womanizing and reckless behavior and alcoholism and health issues later in life. Quite frankly it's amazing that he's still alive.
At some point as one ages, one should stop wearing tank tops or sleeveless shirts - male or female.
