Didn't he push to not be credited because he felt David Prowse deserved the credit? Or something like that.

I'm not sure, possibly. I know he said he did it because he was broke and needed the $7000.
 
One of my favorite scenes from, "The Big Bang Theory," was when James Earl Jones and Sheldon sneak up, ring Carrie Fisher's door bell, and then run away. And then Carrie Fisher comes to the door with a baseball bat in her hands and screams, "It isn't funny anymore James."
