RIP Loni Anderson

I loved WKRP back in the day and unlike some older sitcoms it still holds up pretty well even today. It had a superb ensemble cast, but Anderson was clearly one of the breakout stars of the show, and she was perfect for that role - the brainy and sexy secretary who in reality ran the station and made the decisions for her constantly befuddled boss, Mr. Carlson. She also had to deal with the station's sleazy ad salesman, Herb Tarlek, hitting on her in nearly every episode, although she handled him with ease. It may sound heretical, but I thought Bailey Quarters was sexier than Anderson's Jennifer Marlowe. At any rate she was a great character and anchor for the show. To be honest I didn't know that she was 80, time does fly, as they say. RIP.

Agree with you about Bailey Quarters.
To this day the turkey episode is one of the very funniest sitcom episodes of all time.

Agree completely - a brilliant sitcom episode and one of my favorites from the show. My dad always loved it too. Les Nessman's finest hour!
