RIP Ozzy Osbourne

I hope before he passed, things seemed to satisfy, he found things to pacify, he found the things in life he was seeking, he saw the things that make true happiness, he found happiness, love to him was so real, and he enjoyed life before it was too late.

He’s one of those guys I was amazed made it to middle age, much less his 70s. Or some of him did, anyway. My SIL is a massive Ozzy fan. I need to check on her to see if she is ok.

I didn't really care for his music, but I had plenty of classmates and friends who did and remember him well from my high school days. I just laugh now at the controversies about him biting off a bat's head and supposedly being a Satan worshipper (he wasn't) and all that. I'm not a fan of reality shows, but I did watch his and it was pretty damn funny. I thought it was funny (and quite touching) that his best friend on the show was clean-living Pat Boone who lived next-door to him for awhile, and that he hated his new neighbors who replaced Boone, who were (if I remember correctly) heavy metal fans who partied all night. Ozzy in one episode threw garbage into their yard for keeping him awake, which was hilarious. He seemed like a pretty cool and colorful guy who made the world a more interesting place. RIP.
