Anything that honors Trump, his "Presidential Library." his "Arch de Trump", his gravesite, etc. will have to be heavily guarded to keep millions of Americans from coming to piss on them. I suspect all of his vanity projects will have to be destroyed or significantly altered at some point in the future unless we ultimately become North Korea.

Obama really does live rent-free in Trump's head. And I think that deep down even he knows that no matter what he does he'll never be as popular or dignified or graceful or as historic or successful as Obama. And it just kills him.

Yep. No doubt the main reason Trump is renaming things after himself and tearing down/gutting historic DC buildings and rebuilding them in his (gaudy, gilded, low-class trashy) image is to force people to remember him long after he's dead and gone. I seriously hope that everything he's done is renamed and most of the damage he's caused is eventually repaired - the Rose Garden to be brought back, the Kennedy Center to be restored to it's original name and rebuilt in a more tasteful style, and so on. Any Democratic POTUS better not allow the GOP to get away with keeping his name on all of this stuff - it's simply an abomination to have anything named after him, except maybe a White House toilet.

Bessent’s response was particularly idiotic. He blamed it on the Mar-a-Lago raid, which Mueller had nothing to do with. I can’t imagine humiliating myself on national television like Bessent does on a regular basis.
