Russia - Ukraine “peace negotiations”

While I agree the only way out of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in the near or medium term unfortunately is a negotiated settlement, this is a dumb framing by my the VP:

Amazing extent to which MAGA bros are out there arguing that Vance is correct and unconditional surrenders in WWI and WWII were negotiated peace treaties.

Robert E. Lee surrendered to Gen. Grant at Appomattox because Grant’s Armies had trapped Lee’s diminished armies…..it wasn’t the result of prolonged negotiations…..it was because Grant had kicked Lee’s ass and trapped him.

Joe Johnson didn’t surrender because of lengthy negotiations; he learned of Lee’s surrender at Appomattox and Sherman’s Armies were DOMINANT.

You know, if Putin loses power and the war, I can't help but wonder what kind of depression Trump will go into?
 
Think i am at a point where I need a break from the board. i can't handle this much Trump and he is everywhere these days, just oozing is stupid and fragile self-worth on everything.

I never though the fall of democracy would be so... moronic.
