If that were true, why has the size of Russia's missile and drone attacks on the people of Ukraine grown by 5x since the inauguration. 🤔

Those are the same old Russian demands. Trump hasn't pushed at all, There was no negotiation, just Trump the lap dog. They are as unrealistic as ever. But I don’t think Trump grasps just how far-fetched these demands are. Putin asked Trump to recognize Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia as part of Russia. Ukraine will say no. And when that happens Trump will go ape shit again. Which is probably why Zelensky is bringing Von der Leyen, Macron, Merz, & Starmer with him to Washington.

Only this, he said, would remove “the root causes of the crisis” in Ukraine — Kremlin shorthand for Russia’s diminished status since it lost the Cold War with the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 and the end of Moscow’s hegemony over Eastern Europe.

Not a good sign for US support of Ukraine in peace negotiations any later security assurances…

Yup. I think that after looking like a (borrowing a favorite from magats) beta cuck in front of Putin he’s gonna go full tough guy with Europe tomorrow. Once again instability is injected into the world because of a high school mean girl with daddy issues.
