A “friendship tunnel” sounds pretty sketchy

How about this? Instead of a "friendship tunnel" Russia opens its borders and let as many of its citizens leave the Motherland as want to and as many of the world's citizens come to the "Worker's Paradise" that is present day Russia. Surely this would create a much-needed infusion of highly skilled, highly trained technical workers that would put Russia in competition with China and India as the largest tech exporter in the world. What could go wrong with Vlad "the Ras" Putin flinging the gates of Russia wide open and welcoming the "best and brightest" of the world as they flocked to be part of the Russian Renaissance? And just to put the cherry on top of the Russian welcome, maybe Putin could lower the price of vodka?

Trump has no clue when it comes to international diplomacy. Not only is he ignorant of world history and geopolitics, he fired those who have knowledge and experience and has only the sycophants he hired to replace them.
This is the clown show that is trying to gaslight their way to a Nobel Peace Prize, having flushed our worldwide credibility down the toilet with isolationism and braggadocio.
I am just waiting to see how long it will take for the fragile Israel-Hamas accord to fracture now that Netanyahu has the hostages back.

What in the actual fuck?!
What's the problem? It's not like they're talking about digging an undersea tunnel in an earthquake prone area. When was the last time there was a big earthquake in that area? I mean a big one, not some little trembler that feels like semi driving past your house. Sure, there was the little 8.8 one back in July. But that hardly counts, I'm asking when was the last big one.

“In my opinion, they should stop the war immediately. You go by the battle line, wherever it is. Otherwise, it’s too complicated. You’ll never be able to figure it out. You stop at the battle line,” Trump told reporters upon landing in West Palm Beach, Florida

oh! wow! Who could have ever seen that coming? I'm pretty sure that St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago's tough negotiating with Vlad "the Ras" Putin complelely took off the table the President of Ukraine having to bend over and scream, "Please Sir! May I have another?" like Kevin Bacon did in "Animal House." St. Donald really should get TWO Noble Peace Prizes next year.

I really don’t get it. Too many people just weeks ago somehow believed that trump was going to finally send some real help to Ukraine. Of course trump was going to change his mind after a little flattery from Vlad (Vlattery? Vladdery?).

No one can trust anything this disgusting mother fucker says.
Agree with all you say, with one exception. The word "flattery." Unless "flattery" is now the hip new phrase the young folks are using to describe what we old folks called photographic blackmail. How can anyone doubt that Vlad "the Ras" Putin has some incredibly embarassing photos of St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago?

I don't think you're wrong, but we now know that his cult base doesn't give a shit about any of that, or they would have cared about any of the Mount Everest-high list of morally odious things he's been a part of in the last 10 plus years.

Putin could have high def video of him in compromising positions with underaged girls, and tens of millions of ardent Trump supporters would dutifully remain in his corner. If the needle moved away from support for Trump, it would do so only marginally.
