It is, indeed, evidence that republicans are becoming the party of Putin. Dig deeper into that data. Look at the shifts in viewpoint by party association.
Exactly. I’ve seen it with my own eyes — people I love who have been adamantly anti-Putin/pro-Ukraine, but who have switched sides overnight just because Trump and the right wing disinformation machine told them to do so. The Republican Party is a giant weathervane that points whatever direction Trump is blowing. Not a free thinker among them anymore.

Musk is a fair point but….Musk is not in the Oval asking for anything. Z is a foreign leader who’s visiting the office of his Country’s benefactor who’s received billions in aid and is asking for the US’s security guarantee.
See, this is why everyone calls you a troll. There is no way you believe the shit you post, you are just trying to annoy other posters. It’s your only objective.

This Vance insult is upsetting a lot of folks in Europe whose troops have fought alongside America after 9/11 and otherwise over the last 25 years.

That is really bad and folks in Europe that contributed significantly to Afghanistan and Iraq should pillory him for it.

Assuming no one wants to argue that point, is he right? I really don't think he is. Will the US really be willing to get into a shooting war with Russia for rare Earth minerals? I hope not. There are other places to find those things. They really aren't that rare.

Yes, he is right. The US shouldn’t basically commit to go to war over Ukraine and that’s what Zel wants. The mineral rights deal gives them some security though without committing to going to war. It is absolutely the right move. No comment on his tact or lack of tact in delivering the message.
