Beside the TDS excuse, how is trump’s use of the military any different, or illegal, than other president’s use of the military?

There is no way to know what Trump will really do versus what he says because he lies so much and is erratic as hell. He is unstable and has the emotional intelligence of a toddler.

I think he's going to paint himself into a corner where he has no choice but to do exactly that. Words have power. If you blurt them out and don't back them up, you lose that power.

This is what we call diplomacy. This is why we prefer are president's to be even-keeled and emotionally stable with regards to foreign policy, instead of raving lunatics that threaten to destroy an entire country if they don't hit a deadline. Trump is a bully and an emotional child. Exactly the opposite type of person we need to deal with the Middle East.

There was always the option to end this thought after the first clause, without making an excuse for a President that just said "An entire civilization will die tonight" as a threat.

Second, do you realize it's insane that you are in a position to be proposing that bet? Did we ever have to worry about Biden or Obama carpet bombing civilian neighborhoods? We did not. We never had a president who threatened massive war crimes before.
