Donald Trump posted an illustration that portrayed himself as Jesus Christ. How can any America still stand with him after this? Yet, the Right Wing still champions Donald Trump as the "Great Savior" of the Caucasian Race. I don't see a path back to normality after the Trump era of American Politics. I hope I don't live long enough to be sent to the Gulag.

Not to mention, of course the image was “doctored.” It’s a AI-generated meme. Let’s say he didn’t mean to post the version with Sauron in the background. The original isn’t any better. That makes it worse Karoline. He made himself sound like the bumbling narcissist he is, but Karoline you made him sound downright enfeebled.
Converts are often crazy MOFO’s.The arrogance of JD Vance is breathtaking. He knows more than the Pope about Christian theology?

Trump quotes conspiracist likening him to 'second coming of God'
I get what you're saying, but it's not even the Second Coming that is so telling about the Religious Right in this country - most Christian churches (including non-conservative ones) accept the idea of the Second Coming. It's the Evangelical idea of the Rapture that is so ridiculous, imo. My understanding is that the Rapture is supposed to be a separate event from the Second Coming and the idea of it is not accepted by most Christians worldwide - it's more of an Evangelical/Fundamentalist thing and is a fairly recent idea in Christianity.Maybe it's just semantics but doesn't it seem ridiculous to ,in one breath talk about God's omnipresence and ,in another, his second coming? It's by no means the most absurd idea they have, but how long must they be such a farrago of self serving theology?
