I feel like if this gets built, even a very progressive Democrat president won’t tear it down. Meaning, Democrats have to do everything they can to ensure it doesn’t get built.

I know I’m an outlier on this but I continue to think a large meeting space is a nice addition to the White House grounds, and the exterior renderings actually look fine. Here’s what I would do —

1. Have Congress appropriate money to return every dime that was contributed by private parties and scrub every mention of those parties from the building.

2. Pass legislation to prevent private donors from funding state buildings in the future.

3. Also pass legislation to require congressional approval before major changes are made to important federal buildings like the White House.

4. Do a full remodel of the interior of the new building to remove all the shitty gold finishings we all know it will be filled with.

I can see where you’re coming from and that’s fine. I do not want any trace of Donald Trump left behind. Considering this is probably only going to get worse, meaning all out anarchy at some point, I really want to forget anything and everything about him when he’s gone.
