Since I inadvertently got this thread off track with an unfair characterization of boomers, I’ll try to get it back on track with…what the hell is actually wrong with him?

We don’t want CFord’s relatives voting. The bulk of them are MAGA, IIRC.

CFord’s a white guy from North Carolina. Odds are the majority of people he knows are “conservative” Republican or Trumpers.

Yeah. As much as I hate to say this, you're exactly right. We probably do not want 99% of the folks in my extended family voting.
 
I do want to say one more time that I am sorry for those who I may have (completely inadvertently) offended or antagonized with my comments about boomers. It was a poorly-thought-out and even more poorly articulated thesis, and I am sincerely appreciative of the folks who gently pointed out the folly in characterizing an entire generation based on the actions of a relative few.
