I do want to say one more time that I am sorry for those who I may have (completely inadvertently) offended or antagonized with my comments about boomers. It was a poorly-thought-out and even more poorly articulated thesis, and I am sincerely appreciative of the folks who gently pointed out the folly in characterizing an entire generation based on the actions of a relative few.
I don't know why they were blowing up about it. The fact is that Trump's main support comes from late boomers and Xers. Fact. Especially white ones. I am a white straight male Xer. I'm well aware that my demographic is like 70-75% for Trump, and I keep that in mind wherever I go. If people look at me as if I'm presumptively MAGA, I can't blame them.

But I have never ever voted GOP; have always been an ardent, involved liberal; and have done my part in elections. I have nothing to be ashamed of; it's not my fault I was born at a similar time to a bunch of authoritarian personality/racist types.

Wasn't blaming anyone, but if you never have the time, money, or effort to participate in the political system, then the problem isn't the system, the problem is you.
Not sure I entirely agree. Ideally we would have a political system that could be materially participated in without money. That is a "system" problem, not an individual problem. And many people just don't have spare money to donate to political candidates.

Poll numbers seem to have gotten through to him, but welcome to the youth vote — what have you done for me lately?
