I’m guessing that’s just because Trump is ignorant.

Trump might have heard someone say, “Leo did a great job getting us SCOTUS and much of the federal and state courts.”

Trump thinks he did that; and just like Joey Tribbiani in “Friends” doesn’t share food; Trump doesn’t share credit or attention.

I knew that in "The Art of the Deal" he characterized his lying as "truthful hyperbole" so I was wondering what "re-truth" meant.

Honestly the worst part of that exchange is how the friendly reporter let him turn a serious question about wild conspiracy theories he amplifies into a rebranding exercise (the only distinction Trump cared about was calling it a re-truth but not the substance he used his platform and position to promote).
