Someone explain the federal govt job purge to me like I'm a child

Somebody explain to TheArousedRam and his fellow MAGAts the way they can understand it. Lie and say Biden and Soros are responsible.

Don’t overthink: A LOT of dead weight/fraud in government employees continuing to receive pay ESPECIALLY since COVID when 90% of workers have not returned for in person work. Advanced AI software Musk is employing helps with this task. Next month will be interesting
Not returning in person has nothing at all to do with anything. I have worked from home since COVID. Many here do I think. We work as hard as we ever did. We certainly aren’t dead weight. And frankly it makes sense for corporations as they can greatly reduce facility expenses.

Finally, if you think AI can replace the loss you have bought into Musk’s BS. Musk has a long history of vastly overstating what he can or has delivered. What you say very well may be true in the near future but not now. It can make things more efficient but not at that scale.

Going back to one of my main questions - what kind of jobs are those losing their government jobs going to fall into? Is the economy creating enough jobs for this? Is the private sector strong enough right now to take on this many people? Or are there just going to be a lot more people on unemployment and losing purchasing power.

Congrats to the guy who can list everything he did today in an email. Nobody cares.

Oh, and I routinely present my time and work to judges via affidavit or sworn testimony in support of awards of attorneys fees. So, boo hoo, pampered gov workers have to respond to an EMAIL.
You are in a field that is very tightly regulated compared to most. But you chose that field knowing it was that way.

Sorry about playing a part in the derailment.

I don’t think we can absorb those jobs right now. I think the labor market for professional jobs is tight right now.

That said I have had two jobs in 30 years. I am not always really in tune with the job markets unless it is really bad like during the dot com crash.

I am so FUCKING pissed right now with all of this. Read through this reddit thread and hear how stressed all these folks are.
VA doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers... they love working with veterans and do it for frankly less pay than they could receive in the private sector. They're giving their all at work -- and trust me when I tell you that veterans are not an easy crowd -- and then they have to deal with this bullshit. What the f is going to happen to all the veterans if these providers and support staff get harassed enough to quit? I work with a private subcontractor that is related to the VA so my job is not on the line today... maybe soon... but I work with veterans every day and I can certainly tell you that they deserve all the support that they can get. And their providers do not deserve to be treated this way. I CANNOT believe what is happening right now with all of this bullshit.

First, these people already give status updates to their managers.

And let’s say you work on some type of advanced hardware and you spent all week trying to get one little piece working. Are you going to be able to split that into five bullets? If not, does that mean you are incompetent or lazy? Of course not.

If you can name 35 things today then it sounds like you have a pretty menial job.
10 hour day = 600 min divided by 35 = 17.15 minutes per item. I'm not sure that's the flex he thinks it is.

I have projects that last years, I guess it depends on how I report those, but I doubt I would claim to touch 35 important items in a day.

Agree - I work from home now and I am like a million times more efficient now than when I was in an office being interrupted constantly and having to stop my progress all the time to put out fires. I've gone from supporting one department at one university to a job where I support all 13 institutions in my state university system. And I still have more time than I ever did.

Somebody please tell me Ramrouser did not go to UNC Law, or even undergrad for that matter.

It was embarrassing enough when I learned that Sidney Powell is a UNC Law grad. I have known many UNC Law grads and they are all extremely intelligent. How did a few nutjobs get in? I'm not talking about Dem vs Pub, I am talking about people that can't muster the most basic forms of logic and reason.

Sadly any dumbass can get a degree if they care enough to put in some work. Even at really good schools.

My wife's company found that employees were so much more productive on their remote days in the hybrid system, they changed to fully remote.

He’s claiming an 11.5 hour day (no lunch, no breaks, no ZZLP posting).

He’s claiming 19.7 minutes per item.

Still not the flex he’s claiming.

What’s he do? Fix parking tickets?

Decades ago I worked as a Classification and Compensation Analyst in NC NC State Govt. Pubs came in and for a few months they demended we submit a report every Friday on which "cases" we had worked on- How many minutes. So every Friday afternoon we would stop work for a couple of hours and make shit up................

Look, I’ve got at least 3 cases that I’m trying to resolve for clients with the SBA for the last yest

You’re the reason Dems will continue to lose FOREVER. Sorry, not sorry.

Some do, A LOT don’t.

Well…that and the fact that assholes like you will continue to support authoritarianism and fascism before you ever admit the fact that your hatred and spite drove you to destroy democracy.

I Pulled 35 out of my ass. I do TONS of more work in my day. I was just contrasting what I do to the snowflakes who “work” in the federal government who whine about bullet pointing 5 THINGS they did in the past week.

This is another 80/20 issue you’re on the wrong side on…. So carry on.
