Speaking of assimilation, it’s going to go down as the single greatest mistake in the history of the United States of America that every single Confederate was allowed to reassimilate into American society following the United States taking a belt to their asses in the Civil War. They should’ve all been hung as traitors and made an example of in every town square throughout the South.

Yes, every elected confederate official and every officer in the Confederate Army should have swung from the gallows.

Minnesota attempting to nullify federal law and the enforcement of said law.
And once again, I must wonder what went wrong in your education to make you completely unaware of the 10th Amendment.

Nullification was South Carolina's attempt to unilaterally declare a law unconstitutional. They didn't want tariffs and when they lost that battle in Congress, they declared the tariff null in their state and then made noise about seceding.

That has absolutely nothing to do what is going on here.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but the most recent video I saw shows and ice agent walking away from the scrum with, what appears to be, the suspects gun. If he disarmed the suspect, and didn't very loudly and obviously notify other agents, that is a huge fuck up.

I’ll believe it when I see it but here’s to hoping.

They did make a political error.

Plenty on the Right are going to defend the boot and defend the Trump Administration, no matter how ridiculous a justification they must use. But when you cite gun possession as the justification, you are asking them to forego their most sacred issue.

Not a very good issue. Trump will pardon every single ICE/CBP member of any potential crime before he leaves office.

So, what kind of federal prosecution do you envision?
For starters, the next Democratic president better ignore those pardons. And yes, I understand exactly what I’m saying.

The issue will quickly get appealed to the Supreme Court where the pardons will be upheld. So then what?

Better to focus on state-level prosecutions. There won't be anything the feds can do in 2029.

I hear you and you’re probably right but if Democrats think all of these rules and norms are going to save us, they’re even more hopeless than I thought.
