Wow - you like Murder by Death! I have never run into anyone who listens to them. I saw them play a couple of time in SF in the early 2000s and have always liked them. I had their first two albums and then kind of lost track of them. Had no idea they had so many more and were still active. Now I have some new music to listen to on Spotify while I work.

Sounds like my dad’s music library. Except he doesn’t even bother with playlists, he’ll just shuffle his list of thousands and thousands of liked songs. It’s whiplash going from the Statler Brothers to Alicia Keys.
It's still random and jumps from genre to genre. I just go down the list of songs alphabetically by title, choose 50 of them at a time, then arrange the playlist by artist just so I get to listen to all the songs I have liked.

I don’t listen much to Spotify; more than anything I use it when journaling on Monday mornings.

Tend to use my Apple Music library more than anything which has plenty of eclectic playlists.
My top 5 on there this year for about the last 3 months:

1. Tabaco y Chanel - Bacilos
2. Colgando en Tus Manos - Carlos Baute
3. Carolina in My Mind - James Taylor
4. Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel
5. Dreams - The Cranberries

I saw them live back in June. Great show.

Bitter Drink, Bitter Moon and The Other Shore are great albums.

I don't know if they still do this, but when I saw them, for their last song, the drummer poured lighter fluid on one of his cymbals, lit it on fire, and played it. It looked so cool.

IMG_8503.jpegFeel free to post your Spotify Wrapped in this thread! Interested to see how many people here use Spotify and what their listening habits look like.

Pride of Cucamonga is one of mine as well. Lesh’s passing have anything to do with that?
